ISLAMABAD: There will be no loadshedding at 743 of the 1,000 feeders in the region during the month of Ramazan, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (CEO) Chief Executive Officer Basit Zaman said on Wednesday.

Speaking to media persons at the Iesco headquarters, he said the current requirement of the region is about 1,800MW and around 1,500MW of electricity is provided.

“The loadshedding going on in the region now is due to some technical problem which will be addressed soon and the situation has already started improving.

“According to our estimates, the requirement of electricity during Ramazan will be around 2,000MW. It will be ensured that there will be no loadshedding at 743 feeders in category I,” he said.
