ISLAMABAD: Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB) is reportedly facing an embarrassing situation on reported change in shareholding of 545 MW Kaigah hydropower project due to system weaknesses, well informed sources told Business Recorder.

The Board of Directors, in its recent meeting expressed serious reservations at PPIB for not following rules after the sponsor of the project hurled corruption charges at PPIB officials. However, when the Chairman of the Board asked the sponsor to name PPIB officials who demanded money from him he hesitated and later withdrew the charges.
