Scotland sees year-on-year increases in renewable electricity generation
Recently published figures on Scotland’s renewable energy sector for 2017 suggest that renewable electricity generation increased by 26 per cent compared with 2016.
It is estimated that the equivalent of 68.1 per cent of gross electricity consumption came from renewable sources, an increase of 14.1 percentage points from 54 per cent in 2016.
