ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday said the claim made by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi regarding power production is ‘misleading’ as it contradicts the figures released by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) – the top body that regulates electricity supply.

PTI Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry, in a statement issued here, hours after Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s speech in Lahore, said: “If the Prime Minister had taken a look at Nepra’s data collection, he would not have made such a big claim [regarding power production].”
